Friday 17th June 2011

Mummy took me to school and told me that she would be picking me up soon, because we had to go to hospital for a hearing review. It wasn't long before mummy was back, we took my lunch, just incase we weren't back in time. When we got there, we were a little bit late, but that was ok. The same lady as last time came and found us and tested my hearing.

This is me waiting for the hearing test. After, the lady spoke to mummy and told her that the hearing on my left side is a little down, 2 out of the 5 is down, the other 3 are normal, she said the right side is down quite alot so that is the side i'm going to have my hearing aid in. So we had to go and wait in the waiting room again until she was ready to do my hearing aid. Mummy explained to me that i would have a hearing aid in one of my ears. When the lady called us back, she had it all ready, it is pink!! and has sparkly bits too. The lady put it in my ear and then spoke to me, i smiled. i could hear really well. The lady left me and mummy for a minute, so i could tell mummy if it was hurting or anything. I told mummy that i could hear myself, i like hearing myself. I have my own case for it, to keep at school and one for home and lots of batteries. The lady showed me how to do and then showed mummy. I got it in better than mummy and quicker too!!! Then it was time to go back to my school. On the way, mummy asked if i would like to wear it to school, or to wait until monday, i told her i wanted to wear it, so i could show my friends. i ate my lunch on the bus on the way there. When we got to my school, mummy showed Jules, my teacher how to put it in and told her that the hard case and one pack of batteries are to stay at school. As mummy was leaving some children were asking me what it was, i was telling them what it was, mummy was very proud of me.
When mummy picked me up, she asked how it had been, wearing it and i smiled, i had liked having it in. At home, Tom was there and i couldn't wait to show him either, he liked my hearing aid.

Thursday 16th June 2011

Today is my first ever school trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are going to Beale Park. All week mummy and me have been talking about it, looking online about it, looking at pictures and i can't wait. When mummy picked me up i was really tired, i told her that i had fallen asleep on the coach on the way home. I didn't really say much about the trip, other than i had a good time and i went in the paddling pool too.

Monday 13th June 2011 / Tuesday 14th June 2011

On the way to school today, an old man and his dog walked past me and mummy was a little bit in front of me, she heard the man moan at me, but not sure what he said, then a school girl went up to mummy and told her that his dog had bitten me. Mummy came back and shouted at the man for him to come back, she was very angry with him and was shouting and saying naughty words (oh dear mummy hehe) and the man said he was sorry and hadn't realised his dog had bit me, he did bite me, but it didn't hurt as i have had shoes on. But it did scare me, i told mummy that i don't want to have a dog like that one :(

Tuesday 14th June 2011
On the way to school today, i asked mummy 'mummy, when i grow up, will you still be scared of heights' mummy laughed because she thought she had hidden her fear of heights really well from me hehe.
When we got home, there was a letter from the nurse who came to my school to measure and weigh all of us. I am already 3ft and 10 inches, mummy said i'm going to soon be taller than her, yay.

Sunday 12th June 2011

I stayed at Nana's last night as mummy and Tom went out. Nana gave me some money from a jar at her house, we took it to Tesco to see how much was there, it was £12.20!! Loads of money. Then we went and picked mummy up, because we are having Kaamiel today, we are going swimming, I can't wait. When we get Kaamiel, Nana drives us to the swimming pool and we say bye to her and Aunty Sam, we go inside and lock Kaamiels pushchair up. Then we go and get changed, i'm so excited. Kaamiel sat in the play pen while me and mummy got ready because he kept trying to crawl away hehe. Then it was time to go in, i had arm bands on this time because mummy rememembered to take them. I went under the shower and got all wet, Kaamiel didn't like that bit very much. Then we went to the swimming pool, mummy had to go in slowly as Kaamiel hasnt been swimming before, he clung on to her at first, but then started to enjoy it. I kept finding him more and more toys to play with. Then i practiced my swimming, i showed mummy that i can now kick my feet and make my self move forward a bit, like doggy style mummy said. We stayed in there for almost an hour, i didn't want to get out, but mummy reminded me that when we get home, we are having a bath (Kaamiel and me) we got dressed and i helped put his coat on, mummy said i was a really helpful girl doing that. At home i sat on the sofa with him while mummy cooked us some potato and sausages, we all had the same. I fed kaamiel his yoghurt :) Then it was bath time, i loved sharing a bath with him, it was lots of fun. I splashed him a little bit and he splashed too. I had lots of toys for us both to share.

Saturday 4th June 2011

We went into town today, when we got there, mummy bought us all a MacDonalds, the first one i've had since my mouth has been fixed, it was yummy. I got a noisy free toy that mummy doesn't like, its a pretend cd player with what mummy says as a 'rubbish singer on' hehe. Then we walked around the shops, when we got to the toy shop, mummy told me that she was going to buy me a game, like the ones that Lucy plays with me at the speech therapy sessions. I looked and looked and couldn't decide what one to get, then mummy and Tom found two good ones, so i chose out of them, i chose a pirate game, it looks really good. I carried my own game all around town. When we got home, we all played it together, i really liked doing that, it was lots of fun. When you got on the bit that had a plank, everyone had to shout 'walk the plank' i liked doing that and was good at keeping watch, but so was Tom. We played it 4 times :) i like playing games with mummy and Tom.
At bed time, i asked Tom to read the pirate book to me, he said he would, i asked mummy to come in too, she sat behind Tom and listened, he done pirate voices too, it was really good.

Monday 30th May 2011

When we got up today, mummy reminded me that we are going for a picnic, i can't wait. It will be a car picnic as its raining though. Mummy made the things for our picnic and when we were ready, we got our rain coats. We have Nana's car, so that is good. Mummy and Tom haven't told me where we are going, so i just had to sit there and wait to see. When we got near, Mummy and Tom pointed to a garage and said that was where we were going, i said ok, then said look theres grass, we can have the picnic there. Mummy smiled and said thats not where we're going really. We drove for a bit longer and then got there, it is called 'millets farm' We had our picnic first and we had to stay in the car as it was raining quite a bit now. We liked our car picnic. When we had finished we tidied it all up and then got ready to go and get our coats on as it was still raining. I had my raincoat and pink umbrella that Nana had bought me, it has a torch in the end!! We all got our rain coats on and then walked, mummy asked which direction i wanted to go and i pointed, so thats the way we walked. I still didn't know what was there, then i could see a park, which was very wet and then further on, there were animals!! We saw goats, they had a bridge to walk over! There were pigs, ponies, sheep, ducks, guinea pigs, alpaca. It didn't stop raining very much when we were there, but none of us minded :) I loved my surprise, it was great fun. We walked all around the animals and mummy took some photo's of me, of me and Tom and of all of us together too. Then we went to look around the big shop that is there, its a garden shop, we sat on a swinging seat, that was good fun, we saw fish inside and outside at the shop and there were toys there for me to see too. When it was time to go home, we all got back in the car and i finished some more of my picnic as i hadn't finished it all yet.

It was the first time I have had chocolate since my operation today and I loved it, was so tasty :)
